Historic hall stages Christmas market

Hand-made chocolates, real ale, jewellery and candles were just some of the locally-made gifts on offer when a Derbyshire wedding venue was transformed into a winter wonderland for a festive fair.

The Christmas Market at Shottle Hall, in White Lane, near Belper, featured more than 30 stalls manned by businesses from across the county.

Music came from the Jubelous, three members of the UK singing sensations DaleDiva, who sang some of the best-loved Christmas carols at the event on Sunday, November 25.

Shottle Hall’s marketing manager James Davis said: “Shottle Hall has seen more than 170 Christmases and the house lends itself to celebrations – it was designed to be full of people enjoying themselves.”
