A TALK on the history of the Butterley Tunnel is to be given by Tina Cordon.
The talk is part of a social evening, hosted by The Friends of the Cromford Canal, on Monday, June 20, at Ironville Church Hall, starting at 7.30pm.
The tunnel, which was built in 1794 and is one-and-three-quarter miles long, is a famous land mark on the Cromford Canal.
Tickets cost £1.50 and there will be a bar and a raffle.
The Friends of Cromford Canal is a group of volunteers whose aim is to fully restore the Cromford Canal and the Butterley Tunnel.
