A Belper pub is looking for local families to take part in a special edition of the classic children’s show Fun House.

The Mill House in Milford, as part of the Fayre & Square chain, has teamed up with TV star Pat Sharp and the twins, Melanie and Martina, to bring back the 90s game show for one day only.

Now the pub is looking for four family teams to compete in the competition, taking place in Lichfield, Staffordshire, on Saturday June 13.

Sharp said: “It’s been a dream of mine to bring back Fun House for over a decade, so I’m over the moon that it’s finally happening!

“The day looks set to be extremely exciting and Melanie, Martina and I can’t wait to get out there and do what we do best—host Fun House.”

The teams, one parent and one child from each family, will have the opportunity to win a holiday worth £1,000.

Like the television show, familiar games will include the gunge tank quiz and go-kart race, with the winners going into the Fun House to grab even more prizes.

Mill House manager Tracey Coggle said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing it back. Mums and dads need fun too.

“We’re not only offering a heap of nostalgia for parents, but also a chance for them to take part and get messy.

“We expect lots of entries, so shout about how wacky your family is when applying.”

Parents can nominate themselves and a child through the Fayre & Square website at www.fayre-square.com. The deadline for application is midnight on Saturday May 30.
