EXCITED children have enjoyed some Clowning Around at Belper Library as part of summer holiday fun.
Youngsters aged under eight enjoyed stories, songs and crafts at the Bridge Street venue.
It was all part of Derbyshire County Council’s circus-themed Summer Reading Challenge.
Children aged between four and 12 are encouraged to read six library books throughout the school summer holidays.
Everyone taking up the challenge will receive a colourful, cut-out circus stage with stickers to collect.
Another session for under-eights takes place at Belper Library on Thursday, August 18, from 2.15pm to 3pm.
