EXCITED youngsters got stuck into some Carnival Capers as part of some summer holiday fun.
Children aged between eight and 11 went along to Duffield Library for a stories and crafts session.
They got stuck into activities including making clown puppets, and also read books.
It was all part of a Summer Reading Challenge being run by Derbyshire County Council libraries.
The challenge, which is on a circus theme, is for children aged four to 12 to read six library books during the summer holidays, collecting stickers and giveaways along the way.
Everyone taking up the challenge will receive a colourful, cut-out circus stage with stickers to collect.
Another session, this time for children aged under eight, is being held at Duffield Library today, August 17, between 2.15pm and 3pm.
It is called All the Fun of the Fair.
The library is on Wirksworth Road. Ring it on 01332 840324.
