A grand concert is to be held in memory of a stalwart supporter of the Belper–based Dalesmen Male Voice Choir.
Gordon Bright, a member of the choir from Ambergate, has organised the concert as a fund-raiser for the Treetops Hospice and as a tribute to his late wife, Sylvia, who supported the choir for many years.
Mr Bright and his fellow singers will perform at St Oswald’s Church, Ashbourne, on Saturday, November 17.
Mrs Bright has been described as a “great friend” to the choir and is remembered for mending the choir members coats, managing the office work and generally helping to keep the choir running.
