OLD and young have joined forces at a care home in Kilburn to do some cooking.
Students from the Belper Sixth Form Centre, which is on John O’Gaunts Way in Belper, went along to Kilburn Care Centre. They donned their aprons and set about helping the residents of the Dalepark Avenue home with preparing food. The students, who are studying health and social care, were welcomed with open arms by delighted residents.co-ordinator at the care home, was more than happy to accommodate the youngsters.
She said: “Eleven students came along to help and did some cooking with the residents.
“The visit was incorporated in work they are doing at the moment. It went to a part of their coursework.”
