belper Town Council is celebrating after retaining its quality status for the second year running.
The council was checked by the Derbyshire Association of Local Councils.
Now leaders are delighted with the outcome, which is the second time they have gained the award.
A certificate was presented at the council’s latest meeting and town clerk Rosalind Bullimore was also praised for her work.
Association secretary Brian Wood said: “By meeting the requirements of the scheme, a parish council is sending out a message that it has achieved a measured level of competence and has an established place in the community.
