A brewery worker accused of being part of a plot to steal a lorry and goods worth more than £100,000 has appeared in court.
Darren Booth, 35, of Beechwood Close, Belper, is one of two men accused of the theft of a Scania lorry from Marston’s, in Burton, last August. The vehicle contained 16 pallets of beer.
Booth is alleged to have used his position as an agency worker to present another man with access to the site. Booth, who had previously pleaded not guilty to a charge of theft by employee, appeared at Burton Magistrates and was committed to stand trial on May 13.
