Police warning after car thefts

A SPATE of overnight thefts from cars in Belper has prompted police to issue a warning.

Four vehicles were targeted in the town centre and White Moor Estate areas between May 16 and 18.

On Edensor Drive, overnight between May 17 and May 18 a vehicle parked on a driveway had a side door forced and electrical testing equipment was taken.

An empty vehicle parked on George Street had the rear door lock forced the previous evening.

Overnight on May 16 a vehicle parked on Wheeldon Road had a door lock forced and three power drills were taken.

A vehicle parked on Applewood Close also had a rear door lock forced and two power drills, a nail gun and rock breaker were taken.
