Stolen JCB found at pub

A DIGGER stolen in Belper turned up in an Ilkeston car park this week.

Police were called to the Rutland Cottage pub in Heanor Road last Wednesday morning after staff spotted the JCB Site Master parked up outside.

Enquiries confirmed that it was the same digger stolen from a farm at Openwoodgate the previous morning.

A Lexus and an Audi were also taken along with other belongings.

A joint investigation between police and fire is underway after a blaze started in a house on the farm site after the burglary.

Officers are trying to determine if it was started deliberately.

Anyone who saw the vehicle being dumped or who has information about the burglary should call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
