COUNCILLORS in Duffield spent £4,000 on ipads, it has been revealed.

Duffield Parish Council bought 12 of the devices to reduce printing costs and enable them to manage their own website.

The Taxpayer Alliance called the expenditure “unjustified”.

However, clerk Sally Bygraves said the gadgets would actually save the authority money in the long run.
