Duffield kids visit London

DELIGHTED children from a Duffield primary school took part in a question and answer session at the Houses of Parliament.

Youngsters from Duffield Meadows Primary paid a visit to the London landmark last Thursday, October 13.

They enjoyed tours of the House of Commons and House of Lords, before taking part in a workshop where they learnt about how laws are made.

The children were welcomed by Mid-Derbyshire MP Pauline Latham, who was very impressed with them.

She said: “I was very happy to welcome Duffield Meadows Primary School to the Houses of Parliament.

“It was also a pleasure to meet the pupils and staff.

“We engaged in a very lively question and answer session.

“I was extremely impressed with the intelligent questions that the pupils asked me!”
