TWO school pupils are building strong foundations after making it through to the Midlands final of a toy construction competition, hosted by TOMY.
James Skinner and Richard White from Turnditch Primary School, both aged 11, battled it out against other seven to 11-year-old finalists from 12 schools from across the region at the K’Nex finals at Drayton Manor Theme Park. They had to build a model of a new theme park ride in two hours using K’Nex pieces before having their efforts judged by a panel of industry experts.
James said: “It is great to be rewarded for something that we really love to do. It has definitely inspired us to keep on building.”
