THOUSANDS of letters will be sent by Derbyshire County Council tomorrow to tell parents which secondary school their child has been offered a place at.

The authority is making offers of secondary school places to 7,722 Derbyshire children. Overall, 99.8 per cent have been offered a place at one of their three preferred schools.

Parents who have applied for places at infant, primary or junior schools for their child will be notified by letter on April 30. Anyone who has not already made an application should do so at www.derbyshire.gov.uk/admissions. Call Derbyshire on 08456 058 058 to give application details over the phone.
