A TRUST launched by Whatstandwell sailing star Dame Ellen McArthur has helped a 21-year-old woman take part in a unique sailing event.
Kerry Noble, from Swanwick, sailed with the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust. The Trust aims to inspire young people’s cancer recovery through sailing. Kerry took part in one of the Trust’s five-day yacht adventures, along with 21 other young people aged 18 to 24, from across the UK, in recovery from cancer and leukaemia.
They took charge of five yachts around the Solent waters off the Isle of Wight.
The Trust was launched in 2003 by Dame Ellen and takes young people recovering from cancer sailing on board 38 to 48ft cruising yachts.
