A FUN event at an opticians in Belper helped raise awareness of the importance of drivers having eye tests.
Specsavers, on King Street, held a road safety awareness day which included games to test eyesight and a prize draw.
The store was joined by Derbyshire Police, who promoted the Think Bike campaign by handing out high-visibility vests. PC Ian Miller also brought along a motorbike. It was all part of Road Safety Week.
Margaret Perkins, manager of the store, said: “We were promoting road safety and the importance of having eye tests. A lot of people are driving around when they are not safe to do so.”
A prize draw for car kits was won by Mary Andrews. Second and third prizes went to Amy Phillips and Mrs G Chadwick.
