Farmland could become gardens

Farmland behind 17 houses on Chevin Road could be converted into plots and sold to residents.

Plans have been lodged to convert 0.4 hectares from

agricultural land to gardens.

Fifteen residents have so far expressed an interest in buying the extra grassland, which belongs to Chevin Road resident Patricia Ramsbottom.

A planning application lodged with Amber Valley Borough Council said that any part of the land which is not required by a house owner may be offered for rent.
