A Belper businessman has praised the Derbyshire Food & Drink Fair after the event attracted thousands of people and helped promote his firm.

Mark Greening, of Sundial, who has a store on King Street has been to the fair - held on May 17 and May 18 - for the past four years.

Thousands of people visited this year’s event in the grounds of its Elvaston Castle and Country Park.

And they tucked into various delicious foods at around 150 stalls including Caribbean food, homemade crepes, Spanish churros, and local cheeses.

Mr Greening said: “The fair is great because so many people get the opportunity to see you. You get a lot of people who visit you afterwards who said they didn’t know about us until they saw us at the fair.”
