PLAYERS and officials from a football club in Holbrook have raised £430 for the British Heart Foundation.
The group of 24, from Holbrook Sports FC, walked nine miles from Derby County’s Pride Park stadium to The Tavern pub, on Derby Road, Belper.
More people joined them along the way and more than 40 finished the walk.
They collected for the British Heart Foundation because it is their nominated charity of the year and one of the club’s management team is currently suffering with heart problems.
Glyn Dawson, from the club, said: “It was a fabulous day out and we were pleased to raise so much money.”
A spokeswoman for the charity said: “We thank all at Holbrook Sports for organising this sponsored walk.”
