MINI mechincs have been swapping their sandpit for pretend vehicle servicing after opening their own unique garage.

The children from Treetops Castle Garden Nursery, in King Street, Duffield, have started work ‘fixing, repairing, carrying out MoTs and spray painting jobs’ in a special section of their garden, now dedicated to cars.

Sarah Oswald, nursery manager, said: “The children have been showing an interest in cars; how they work and where they go to be fixed.

“With such enthusiasm and intrigue in cars, the staff wanted to capture this and create an area in their garden where the children could act everything they have learnt.

“I am really proud of the team and the effort that they put into this. They worked together with parents and grandparents to creat a fantastic area for the children to enjoy.

“It’s always great to see a smile on their faces!”
