A competition has launched to find the best gardeners in the Amber Valley.

Futures Homescape, who provide around 6,000 homes across Derbyshire, has re-launched their annual gardening competition.

The event aims to seek out champion gardeners in a range of categories including best basket, best edible garden, and the grand prize; best garden.

Among last year’s winners was Susan Lees, from Belper, who picked up the best garden award.

“I was delighted to win the award, it was a real surprise,” said Susan.

“I love gardening and I’m always outside looking after mine.”

Entries for this year’s contest are open until June 19.

The competition is open to all Futures Homescape tenants.

They are invited to submit entries to the judging panel by emailing getinvolved@futureshomescape.co.uk, stating their name, address and which category they wish to enter.
