BELPER opticians Specsavers has celebrated it’s fifth birthday in the town.
The store enlisted the help of Cheeky Charlie the clown to mark the occasion.
Charlie delighted visitors to the King Street store with his balloon modelling skills. A raffle helped raise money for the NSPCC, with prizes including tickets to watch Derby County play
There was also plenty of birthday cake for customers to share, while Specsavers staff gave out goody bags and refreshments.
Andy McBride, director at the Belper store, said: “This special birthday celebration marks the start of our year of fundraising for the NSPCC, so we wanted customers to come along to join in the fun and help us celebrate the last five years by raising as much money as possible for a fantastic cause.
“It was an absolutely fantastic day and very successful. Everyone joined in and everything went to plan.”
The store has not added up exactly how much has been collected for charity yet because people are still bringing money in.
