FUN-LOVING children marked the end of a writing week at a Duffield school by holding a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.
Youngsters in Years 4 and 5 at Duffield Meadows Primary all donned costumes as they joined their teachers and held an extraordinary feast to celebrate a successful writing week.
Children dressed as characters from Alice in Wonderland to get into the swing of things at the Park Road school.
The feast followed a performance of Alice in Wonderland by M&M Theatrical Productions.
They were one of an array of authors, illustrators, storytellers and outdoor education professionals who visited the school throughout the week to entertain and educate the children.
A spokesperson for the school said: “This specially planned themed week was organised to further excite and inspire the school’s budding writers.”
