500 attend blast from the past fair

A vintage fair helped raise £1,000 for Belper’s Strutts Community Centre.

Everything from WWII nostalgic music to material from the 1970s, Notty Hornblower’s 1940s furs and hats and Selina Whittle’s liquorice and coconut mushrooms were on offer at the event on Saturday, February 23.

More than 500 people attended to bag themselves a retro treat.

The money will be donated to the Strutts centre lift fund - a £30,000 fundraising campaign which will allow disabled and elderly people to access the expanding variety of events and groups held on the first floor of the building.
