Alfreton garden break-in

Police in Alfreton are investigating an attempted burglary where the victim interrupted the offender in her garden.

At around 7.30am on Friday, October 26 a 62-year-old woman disturbed a man in the garden of her home on Beech Avenue who claimed to be doing community service before running off. The offender left behind a wheelbarrow containing a strimmer and other items.

He is described as white, around 5ft 7in tall, in his 20s, of slim build and wearing a red all in one suit with a sleeveless high-visibility jacket over the top. Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
