A man has been given an Anti-Social Behaviour Order (ASBO) and banned from stores in the Amber Valley Shop Watch scheme.
James Mason, 36, of Main Road, Jacksdale, was given the two year-long ASBO by magistrates in Chesterfield on Monday, March 17, for ‘repeated rowdy or nuisance behaviour, shoplifting and intimidating staff and customers’.
As well as the ASBO, Mr Mason has also been given a six month ban by the Amber Valley Shop Watch. If he is found breaching the ASBO, he could face jail.
Anyone who sees him breaching the conditions of the ASBO can call 101 to report it. Sgt. Dave Harrison of the Amber Valley Community Safety Partnership said: “Mr Mason’s behaviour has had a negative impact on local residents, shoppers and store staff. He is now suffering the consequences of his own actions. We hope that this will have a positive outcome for members of the community but also for Mr Mason himself to try and improve his own behaviour.”
