POLICE

Police are appealing for information after an attempted robbery in a park.

On Thursday, March 20, at 3pm a man walked from the Boathouse pub and crossed over the A6 and over the footpath that leads to Hall Leys Park. A man walking in the opposite direction tried to grab the man’s phone as he walked past him.

The man was barged out of the way but kept hold of his phone and the offender ran off towards the footbridge.

The offender was described as white, in his early 20s, of a medium build and was wearing a black hooded top with the hood worn up, white trainers, faded blue tracksuit bottoms with a white logo on the left leg. The logo was three circles with lightning strikes going through them.

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Tim Lambert using the non-emergency number 101. To report crime anonymously call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
