Charlotte’s charity raises £1,200

The family and friends of tragic rock fall victim Charlotte Blackman raised £1,200 in her honour at a special concert in Heanor.

Six bands entertained over 200 guests at Heanor Miners’ Welfare, in Ilkeston Road, on Saturday February 2.

The event was organised by Charlotte’s mum Rachel and the money will go to the Charlotte Blackman Memorial Fund, which helps local charities that support autistic and vulnerable children, with whom Charlotte worked.

Charlotte, 22, of Mansfield Road, Heanor, was on holiday in Dorset with her family and boyfriend when part of a 160ft cliff collapsed as she walked on the beach.
