A choir has been singing its own praises after reaching its third birthday.
The Chevin Singers staged a party for members during its usual Tuesday morning session at Belper’s Strutt Centre.
Member Viv Scott said: “It’s proved to be successful, as we have a regular attendance of around 25 singers with a good mixture of all four singing parts, although we would love to have more men to sing tenor and bass. There is no need to read music or have singing experience to join us.
“We sing a mixture of world, folk and traditional music and we aren’t daunted by songs in Russian, Maori, French or Latin. And our sessions are always fun.”
