Come and pick up your cat vouchers

Low income families in Derbyshire are being given the chance to get their feline friends neutered or spayed for free.

The Derby and District branch of Cats Protection will be offering vouchers to anyone in receipt of state or council benefits of family tax credits.

This will enable people to let them get their cats protected free of charge.

The vouchers will be given out between 1pm and 3pm on Thursday, November 27, at the charity's shop at 31 The Wardwick, Derby.

Owners must take along proof of their benefits and they will be issued with as many free vouchers as they need.

Volunteer Sylvia Plummer said: "If you are not on benefit and are still struggling to meet the cost of neutering come along anyway, we will still be able to help."
