Police are appealing for information following a fire at the Midland Railway Centre.

On Sunday, October 28 at 1am a fire was discovered in portacabins at the Swanwick Junction site.

PC Paul Bower from Ripley police station said: “The Trust is funded purely on donations and the damage caused will cost a considerable amount of money to repair.

“We would like to speak to a dog walker in connection with our enquiries that was walking on Pennine Avenue, Riddings at around midnight on October 28. “

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Bower using the non-emergency number 101.
