Rogue traders were targeted when police officers took part in an operation to crack down on doorstep crime.
Officers from across the county joined forces with Derbyshire county Council and Derby city council’s trading standards teams and the Environment Agency in a day of action to try and identify any rogue traders who might be working in the area.
Teams dedicated a day to attending incidents of any suspicious activity, speaking to anyone spotted going door-to-door and stopping vehicles.
PC Chris Bond, from the intelligence unit at Derbyshire police, co-ordinated the local action day. He said: “By carrying out this operation our aim was to target possible rogue traders and gather information from the community.”
