Drop Inn’s re-launch

AN “ABSOLUTELY fantastic” event helped re-launch a hugely popular youth centre in Belper.
The Drop Inn, on Derwent Street, has been closed since early December while it underwent a major refurbishment.
It reopened on Monday afternoon and dazzled more than 80 guests who went along to the re-launch party.
The centre’s senior manager, Andrea Fox, said: “It was absolutely fantastic. There was a really good turnout and everyone was very impressed.
“The youngsters said the make-over was ‘sick’, which means it’s good! They thought it was wonderful.”
Belper’s mayor Cllr Alan Cox and Cllr Barry Lewis, who is Derbyshire County Council’s Cabinet member for young people, were among the dignitaries in attendance.
Andrea added: “We want to thank everyone for their support.”
