A former Thornton’s worker is raising thousands of pounds for a children’s charity by taking on the London Marathon.

Emily Hall, aged 33, whose parents are well known for their fairground rides on The Coppice will attempt the race in April in aid of the Showmen’s Childrens Charity.

She said: “The only thing I’ve ever run before is a bath!”
