Twenty live acts will take to the stage this weekend at a beer and music festival to help raise money to beat cancer.
Artists will perform over two stages at the George and Dragon on Bridge Street as part of the Liquid Mix Tape festival, which is raising money for the Belper Beating Cancer project.
The event, on Saturday, August 16, gets underway at 11.30am and is being staged by Node56Ltd - the trading arm and events management side of Belper’s Drop Inn Youth Centre.There will also be a large selection of real ales and ciders to sample throughout the day. Among those appearing will be Luke Concannon - also known as Nizlopi - the creator of the world famous JCB Song which topped the UK singles chart in 2005. He will be joined by Peczy, Josh Brown, Kryss Marlze, Laurie Martin,Hayley Marie, Lucy Milford,Jorden Bednall, Tom Ash, David Lacey.Tom Sheldon, Annette Oakes,Ella Juster and Cait Wood.
Meanwhile, a selection of rock bands from all over the UK will also be performing on the Tape Deck B stage. They include Jasper In The Company Of Others, Ash Gray and Couch Fire, Doctor Wolfe, Eva Plays Dead, Crosa Rosa, Vinyl,Parasight and Barnie Rubblz.
