Pupils at Cromford Primary School have put on their first musical concert for parents, playing the Fife.

The 19 juniors students have been practicing for six weeks on the instrument and got the opportunity to showcase their new skills. The pupils played short pieces of music and did vocal exercises.

Class teacher, Helen Rogers said the response to the concert had been fantastic.

She said: “The feedback we got from the parents was brilliant. and the children had a lot of fun.”

In the audience was the Poet Laureate for Derbyshire, Matt Black and the Education Manager for Derbyshire’s Sinfonia VIVA Orchestra, both of whom were very impressed with the talented pupils.
