Final call goes out for nominations for a New Year gong

Irish dance teacher Carol Platt is one of our final nominations for the Belper News New Year Honours.

Carol and her family run an irish dance group called Folk Friendzy, which has more than 70 pupils and runs dance classes three times per week and appears at numerous events.

Her nominator, Tracy Litchfield, said: “I think Carol and her family deserve recognition for all their hard work.”

Nominations for our 2013 Honours close tomorrow (January 31) and we want you to nominate your heroes.
