After a three year absence Belper Independent Financial Solutions has returned to the town, having secured new premises.

The company was set up in 2009 by Kevin Glover who initially worked from his home in the town, then opened an office in Market Street, Heanor in 2011.

A year later Kevin was joined by another independent financial adviser Chris Fenton. Between them they have 40 years experience as financial advisers having previously worked in banks and building societies.

The firm, which also employs two administrators, has moved to premises in Bridge Street, Belper,

Kevin, the firm’s principal, said: “We have enjoyed three years in Heanor, but suitable premises have become available in Belper and we need to be better located in the heart of our catchment area.”

The company, which offers a full range of independent financial services, hopes to take on at least one adviser and one administrator over the next few months.

“There is increased demand for services, particularly with the new auto-enrolment pension scheme which is being introduced,” said Kevin.

“We are really looking to returning to Belper. We think this will cement our position as a leading provider of financial services in Amber Valley and further afield in the East Midlands.”

The firm recently opened a sister office, Ashbourne Independent Financial Solutions, based at Peak Management Associates in the town’s King Edward Street.
