Fines threat for fouling

PEOPLE risk being fined if they do not clean up after their dogs.

Leader of Belper Town Council Cllr John Nelson, said he was sick of pet owners letting their dogs mess without cleaning it up at two main spots in the town.

He said: "There is a problem with dog mess at the grounds of St John's Chapel and the memorial gardens.

"We will prosecute anyone who is found to be letting their dog foul."

A on-the-spot fines of 50 can be issued to pet owners.
