Firefighters tackled a house blaze in a Derbyshire village in the early hours of this morning.
Crews from Chesterfield, Alfreton and Nottingham were called to the property, in Carter Lane East, South Normanton, at about 3.40am.
A fire service spokesman said the roof was “well alight”. No-one was trapped inside.
Firefighters spent three-and-a-half hours tackling the blaze.
Paramedics were called as one man needed treatment for smoke inhalation.
Earlier, at 12.40am, crews were called to Coronation Drive, also in South Normanton, to reports of a bedroom fire.
The fire was out by the time crews arrived. Again, an ambulance was called to treat one person for smoke inhalation.
