Four Belper firms have teamed-up to form a new help and advice group for people starting or expanding their own business.

Steve Bryan, Rachel Royston-Webb, Leigh Holland and Steve Wragg have all joined forces to start the Business Clinic 4 Belper.

Their inaugural clinic will be held on Wednesday, May 7 between 10am and 12noon at the HR Dept, Queen Street in Belper.

Free advice will be available on subjects including HR issues, raising finance for your business, will writing plus advice on business protection and pensions and more.

Rachel Royston-Webb Managing Director of the HR Dept said: “All the businesses involved have strong links to Belper and want to see the area grow.

“Running our own businesses means we understand the challenges this can bring and that sometimes you just need to know where to go for the right advice or to confidentially talk your plans through.

“We see the clinic giving local business people easy access to expertise in a wide range of subjects.

“We would advise anyone seeking specific advice to make an appointment with the specialist they need to see, although being a drop in clinic booking is advisable but not essential.”

Ms Royston-Webb has many years of experience in dealing with complex work place issues and helps businesses navigate employment legislation.

Meanwhile, Leigh Holland of EBC Consultancy offers advice on a wide range of funding options and has a wide range of experience of obtaining funding not just from the high street but sources such as the regional growth fund and alternative lenders to banks.

Steve Bryan of Eagle Estate Planning provides specific advice on wills and lasting powers of attorney.

He said: “This is a very exciting time and we look forward to assisting local business people in the near future.”

Finally, Steve Wragg of Glenrose Financial Planners gives advice on business protection, investments and pension planning.

Mr Wragg said: “At Glenrose we specialise in giving advice to small businesses including protecting a business against the loss of an owner or key person and around current and future pension planning.’
