A groundbreaking treatment project saw dementia patients in Belper being treated in 1950s themed rooms this week in a bid to comfort them from confusion and memory loss.

The golden oldie-style rooms at Manor Farm Community Centre feature wallpaper, a radio, furniture and even newspapers from days gone by because often patients’ memories from decades back are more vivid.
