Half-term is set to be packed full of fun for youngsters at Crich Tramway Village

The trams at Crich Tramway Village will be back on the tracks next week in time for the school holiday, ready for a fun and action-packed year of great family days out and special events.

The 2013 season kicks off with February half term activities when the tramway village opens daily from February 16 February 24.

Young visitors are promised a great time during their trip where they’ll have the opportunity to take part in a variety of fun activities and spring crafts, said a spokesman for the tourist attraction.

All accompanied children will be able to join in the activities in the Village’s learning centre where sessions will be run from Monday, February 18, to Friday February 22, from 1pm to 3pm.

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday there will be mask making and on Thursday and Friday there will be a ‘rocking birds’ event.

A spokesman for the learning team at Crich said: “February half-term promises to be a fantastic start to our 2013 season when children of all ages will find lots to keep them entertained. Even the grown-ups can join in!”

Due to recent cold weather, the attraction has urged people to check its website before they travel.

Crich Tramway Village will also be open for weekends in March, then daily from March 29 until November 3.

Admission prices during February and March 2013 are: adults £13, seniors £10.50, children (aged four to 15) £8 and families (two adults, and up to children) £35.
