Kubrick editor set to appear at cinema

A former film editor who worked on The Shining is set to introduce the movie at the Belper’s Ritz Cinema.

In 1979, Gordon Stainforth cut the last 30 minutes of the horror classic with Stanley Kubrick at Elstree Studios, London.

And on January 27 the Belper man – who now works as an author – will give a talk on the experience following a screening of the digitially restored version of the film.
