Mill couple say their vows
A couple who have a special place in their hearts for Heage Windmill have said their vows there.
In a special informal ceremony, Holly Ryalls and Andy Wheat, of Derby, said their personal vows to each other after Andy had previously proposed at the windmill.
They shared the occasion with some of their friends and were later properly married at a register office and went to Barcelona for the honeymoon.
Holly has always been interested in windmills and when Heage Windmill was restored to working order she underwent a training course to become a miller, passing with flying colours.
Alan Gifford, from the windmill, said: "Holly Ryalls is now Holly Wheat and her new initials are 'HW' – Heage Windmill of course – there cannot be many lady millers who have married into the trade."
