THE WINNER of Belper's Miss Slenderella competition only took the title by the tiniest of margins.
Frankie Corbett beat five other finalists to win the coveted role.
But three of the models took second place - with only a few points separating all the girls.
Slenderella managing director Gary Spendlove said the judges made their decision based on personality, deportment, communication skills and overall attractiveness.
He said: "Frankie is a worthy winner but the competition was very close. Three of the girls tied for second place - there was only a matter of points in it."
Winner Frankie was delighted. She said: "I was completely shocked when I found out I'd won and then very flattered.
"All the girls got on really well and it was shame that anyone had to win. We all did incredibly well."
Frankie is now set to appear in Belper's carnival on Saturday.
She and the other finalists have also been invited by Slenderella to attend the Harrogate International Lingerie Fair.
The competition was judged by representatives from Kiss and Make-Up, So.Co.Uk Ltd and Rachel's Hair Salon.
All the judges and Slenderella donated prizes to the entrants.
