MP backs biz boost

MID-DERBYSHIRE MP Pauline Latham has backed Government plans to support Derbyshire’s budding young entrepreneurs in this year’s Budget through a pilot of entrepreneur loans.

Chancellor George Osborne announced the creation of a £10 million nationwide Youth Enterprise Loan Scheme pilot which will support entrepreneurship among young people through small, low interest, loans following a campaign by Sir Richard Branson and Virgin Media Pioneers.

Mrs Latham said: “This pilot is the result of young entrepreneurs themselves asking for help and not to be forgotten.

“Small businesses are the backbone for our local economy and create the jobs we need. I am delighted to support Virgin Media Pioneers and I wish them the very best for this project.”
