Seven brave men from a Belper youth centre are taking inspiration from the venue’s name — and will ‘Drop’ out of the sky for charity.
They are from the successful Drop Inn, which is on Derwent Street, and run by young people for fellow youngsters. They will jump out of a plane at 13,000ft on Friday, March 25, to raise cash for the centre.
Five volunteers — brothers Tom and Adrian Stone, Ant Winson, Ant Baker and Ben Gregory — will join centre user Billy Alton-Wood, who is deaf, and Drop Inn supporter David Mellor for the leap.
Founder of the Drop Inn, Andrea Fox, said: “The workers are crazy! They wanted to do something to raise funds and Adrian came up with this idea. Any support you can give these brave, crazy, fantastic people would be very much appreciated.”
To donate, pop in to the centre or contact Andrea on 07960 576257.
