More than 1,500 Christmas postcards have been delivered by Kilburn-based Scouts as part of this year’s Stamp and Deliver scheme.

This year more than 30 groups across Derbyshire sold 25p stamps to friends, family and local businesses for folk in a bid to raise funds for the organisation and this year’s chosen charities - The Children’s Air Ambulance and Cardiac Risk in the Young.

People have posted festive cards in the Scouts’ yellow post boxes, dotted around the county.

1st Horsley and Kilburn leader, Richard Ward, said the yearly scheme helps to pay for new tenting and cooking equipment at the Highfield Road based Scouts.

“It’s great to be a part of it,” he said.
